Amazonレビュー

When Heavy Metal Version 1.0 (Megadeth, Judas Priest, etc) died out in the late 1980s, to be replaced by Heavy Metal Version 2.0 (Korn, Slipknot) in the 1990s, few expected to ever hear from Ronnie James Dio again. Yet, he and his band soldiered on, and Magica--released in 2000--shows them defiantly sticking to their guns. Not a funk-metal hybrid, and with nary a pair of baggy shorts to be seen, Dio's "i"Magica is all big-hair, big guitars and leather trousers: old-skool metal (if such a thing exists). A concept album about the "Book Of Magica", this is good-and-evil, swords-and-sorcery stuff, the musical equivalent of a game of "i"Dungeons amp; Dragons--and likely to share the same fans. With its guitar solos, stadium anthems and lyrics about wizards and demons, "i"Magica has arrived about a decade too late for the party, but seems determined to have a good time regardless. "i"--Robert Burrow
